Significant Damage to Residence, Garage and Vehicles After Fire


On August 12th, 2024 at 17:16 Hours, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a call reporting a detached garage fire at 6461 Phillips Road in the Town of Newfane. Niagara County Sheriff's Deputies responded and confirmed the garage was engulfed in flames and was quickly spreading to three cars in the driveway and to the residence.



All occupants of the residence were able to safely evacuate. The fire was subsequently extinguished by members of the Olcott, Miller Hose, and Wilson Volunteer Fire Companies. The residence, garage, and vehicles in the driveway sustained extensive fire damage. No injuries were reported. An investigation into the cause of the fire by the Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit is underway.
