A Dairy Queen located at 3509 Portage Road in the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario was robbed by an armed suspect on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024. At approximately 12:52pm, officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to the incident.
According to the investigation, an unknown male suspect entered the Dairy Queen and initially requested to order ice cream. However, his intentions quickly became clear as he informed the staff that he was armed with a gun and demanded money. Fearing for their safety, the staff complied and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect leaving the Dairy Queen around 12:44pm and heading towards the Stanford Green Plaza in Niagara Falls. He was carrying a Dairy Queen paper bag at the time. The suspect is described as a white male in his late 50s to early 60s, with a thin build and clean-shaven. He stands approximately 5'8" to 5'10" tall and was wearing a black baseball cap, a black zip-up jacket or sweater, black pants, and black shoes.
