Court Goer Says 'Are you going to hit me' to Unknown Suspect before getting Clobbered

Niagara Falls Police received a walk-in report of harassment at 1925 Main Street around 10am on October 4th.

According to the complainant, at approx. 8am he parked his vehicle across the street from 1925 Main Street and walked to the police station where City Court is housed. He went straight to the front door but there were none open so he stood in front of them.

While standing there, an unknown black male was behind him and started a verbal argument. The complainant was unaware of the line that formed but did argue back with the suspect.

As the two were arguing, the complainant stated, “are you going to hit me,” to which the suspect struck him in the head. He reported face/head pain and that his glasses were knocked from his face.

After the incident occurred, the complainant was taken to the back of the line by a “fellow court goer” and was “unsure where the unknown suspect went.”

The complainant was offered to be transported to the hospital but declined. There are no known suspects and surveillance footage from the police station has not been reviewed yet. No further information is available at this time.
