Couple Thrown Out of Hotel Try to Steal $1100 Luggage Cart and Fail Miserably

Niagara Falls Police responded to the Comfort Inn on Niagara Falls Boulevard around 7:00pm after reports that a couple who had been thrown out of the hotel were stealing a luggage cart.

Upon arrival, police spoke to two Comfort Inn employees who stated that a male and a female had stolen a luggage cart from their hotel and were currently walking through the Home Depot parking lot. Police relocated to the parking lot and observed both suspects by the shed. They had only made it about 500 feet from the hotel. Both were placed in custody and returned to the Comfort Inn for a positive identification.

The Assistant Manager then told officers that she had kicked out both individuals from the hotel. Once the individuals finally exited the hotel, they took one of the luggage cart with them without permission.

The luggage cart, which was returned to the Comfort Inn by an officer, is valued at $1,100. The Assistant Manager wished to pursue charges.

The individuals were transported to police headquarters for processing. No further information is available.
