Construction has officially commenced (finally!) on a second Moe’s Southwest Grill in Niagara Falls - nearly two years after initial development plans were unveiled. The new restaurant will be located at 7721 Niagara Falls Blvd. at the former Pizza Hut location.
Restaurateur Muhammed Shoaib, who acquired the property in 2020 during the pandemic, is spearheading the project. In recent weeks, a new façade has been installed and plans are in place to gut the interior to create a fresh dining experience for customers.
Shoaib is investing approximately $1.5 million into the project, which includes the purchase of the building and renovations. The restaurant is set to open in the coming months.
Shoaib is actively managing multiple dining establishments in Niagara Falls and elsewhere in Western New York including an A&W Restaurant, three Papa John’s pizzerias, and two Crumbl cookie shops. His businesses, which also include restaurants on the Canadian side, employ around 100 people across 21 sites.
The new Moe’s Southwest Grill will feature indoor seating for 24-30 customers and an outdoor patio with a focus on takeout and third-party delivery services like DoorDash and UberEats.
