Niagara Falls Police responded to the 600 block of 20th Street around midnight on August 22nd after reports of criminal mischief.
Upon arrival, police immediately observed a black 2013 Dodge Charger with extensive damage parked in front of the residence. Officers made contact with the complainant who stated at 6:00pm he left for work and his car was undamaged and in perfect working condition. He was then called around 9:45pm by neighbors stating that his vehicle was damaged at which time he returned home.
The vehicle’s windshield, front passenger side window / rear window were smashed out in addition to the passenger side mirror which was ripped off and in the grass nearby. Three tires were slashed, the roof was dented, and the entire bumper was ripped off. The words “cheater” and STD” were both spray painted in blue and scratched into the car in multiple locations.
Officers asked the complainant if he knew who could have done this and he said no. This was likely a lie. However, he did say that “everyone” knows he works overnights.
Police estimated damage to the vehicle at $10,000. There are no suspects as the complainant would not provide the names of any men or women he might have upset. No further information is available at this time.
