Canadian Government Hopes to Improve Wait Times for Commercial Truckers at Peace Bridge
The Canadian Government will invest $5 million to introduce non-intrusive inspection tech nologies for commercial vehicles at the Peace Bridge. This initiative is expected to facilitate efficient processing and minimize waiting times for trucks entering the US. This step, essential for improving a significant supply chain link at the border crossing, will bolster approximately $40 billion annual trade between the US and Canada. The project aims to make supply chains more efficient, thereby making life more affordable for Canadians while also strengthening Canada's economy. This is part of a $12 million investment for six projects at various ports to enhance the transportation of goods essential for Canada's economy.
