Niagara Falls Police responded to the 500 block of 15th Street around 10:40pm on October 8th after reports of a burglary.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated she left her home around 9pm to go to the store. When she returned around 10pm she noticed that a window on her back door was broken and someone had entered the house. She stated that the suspect had entered the basement where they ransacked several clothing bins. Only a bag of handbags was missing. The number of handbags taken was not specified.
Police noted that the complainant did not “seem too bothered or concerned about the incident.” There was no physical evidence at the scene besides the broken window. The complainant could not provide any additional information or possible suspects.
Officers canvassed the area for security cameras with negative results. There are no known suspects. No further information is available at this time.
