Burglary Report on Pierce Avenue Doesn’t Add Up

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 700 block of Pierce Avenue around 0440 hours on Sunday, June 5th, 2022, after reports of a burglary.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that he had come back home and noticed items missing from inside his house. He was last in the home around 1830 hours the previous night. The complainant further told police that he was having problems with another male who is “currently dating one of his ex-girlfriends.”

The complainant walked police to the back of the residence and stated there was a step stool located under one of the back windows. However, police did not observe any fresh damage or fingerprints.

The complainant told police that the missing items included a Vizio TV, a mirror, a tent from the front porch, three DeWalt drills, and an Autozone socket set from the back room. Inside the home, police observed a large box blocking the window that the complainant stated someone made entry.
