Niagara Falls Police responded to the 2900 block of Weston Avenue around 12:30pm on June 13th after reports of a burglar who had targeted the same residence twice in a five-day period.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that on Saturday, June 8th an unknown suspect forced open her garage man door and stole several items. She was not at home during the incident, but was advised by her neighbor who actually spoke to the suspect.
On today’s date, the upstairs tenant arrived home and noticed the garage door open again. The tenant notified the complainant and they went to the garage together where it was discovered more items were taken.
Items stolen on June 8th included a: Sno-Jo snowblower ($180), electric cord for the snowblower ($80), a gas can filled with gas ($40), four large bags of empty cans/bottles ($45), black n decker weedwacker with battery and charger ($130) and drill bits ($50). Items stolen on June 13th included two Toro brand lawn mowers ($500).
The total value of items taken by the home improvement burglar is $1,025. The suspect is described as an older male with a thin build and beard. Police noted that there are two other burglaries with similar circumstances and a matching description of the suspect.
