Burglar Steals $5,400 Worth of Items from House - Kitchen Sink, Copper, Water Meter and More


Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1100 block of Niagara Avenue around 10:15am on August 16th after reports of a burglary.


Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated that between August 2nd and 16th an unknown suspect burglarized the residence. He explained that the residence had just been remodeled and had all new appliances, pipes, and etc..



The suspect broke a basement window on the west side of the property to enter the home. Once inside, the suspect cut the sink out of the kitchen counter causing significant damage.


The suspect also stole all copper pipes in the basement, including all gas pipes. Further, he damaged the connection to the water meter and stole that as well. The suspect did leave a pair of gloves and vice grips in the basement which were collected by law enforcement as evidence.



In total, the estimated amount of damage and property stolen is $5,400. There are no suspects at this time and there were no surveillance cameras operating.
