Burglar Smashes Drywall to Gain Entry into Multi-unit Garage

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1700 block of Ashland Avenue around 5pm on October 2nd after reports of a burglary.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who stated he owns the multi-car garage. He had been on vacation for roughly two weeks and just returned yesterday. He went to the garage on today’s date and noticed the garage door on the far west side to be ajar. When he went into the garage, he noticed the upper dry wall had been ripped out by unknown suspects.

The complainant believes the suspects crawled up into the attic and ripped the drywall down to give him access to the other garages. He is unsure if anything was stolen at this time.

The crime scene unit responded to process the scene. There are no known suspects. No further information is available at this time.
