Niagara Falls Police responded to the 400 block of 12th Street around 8:45am on August 17th after reports of a home invasion.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who stated that between 12am and 4:30am someone entered his home and stole several items. His brother woke the complainant up at 4:30am stating that items were missing from the home. Upon investigating, the complainant determined that the suspect entered his home through the side window and exited through the side door. There were eight family members sleeping in the home.
The complainant showed police the side window where he believes the suspect entered and then took officers to the dining room where electronics were stolen. This included two tablets that were valued at $300 total. In addition, the suspect(s) also opened some mail, stole diabetic medication, and went into the kitchen stealing a variety of meats and Ramon Noodles. There was additional food taken from the basement as well.
The suspect(s) left one of the side doors open. Officers canvassed the area for surveillance footage with negative results. There are no suspects. No further information is available at this time – Burglar(s) Enter Home with 8 People Sleeping During Niagara Falls Home Invasion.
