Niagara Falls Police responded to the 600 block of Main Street around 10:00am on June 20th after reports of a burglar cooling down by stealing an AC unit and case of soda pop from a restaurant.
Upon arrival, police entered the restaurant and spoke with the manager. He stated that when they opened the restaurant their air conditioning unit was missing from the front window. The AC unit, according to the manager, was screwed into the window and would need to be unscrewed to be taken out.
After reviewing surveillance footage, the manager said that around 1:00am an unknown suspect removed the AC unit and entered the restaurant. Once inside, he stole a case of soda pop. The suspect then left with both the AC unit and soda pop. The estimated monetary loss is $175.
