Niagara Falls Police responded to the Sunoco Mini Mart on Main Street around 1:30am on July 9th after reports of a tripped burglary alarm.
Upon arrival, officers observed the main front glass door to be smashed out and glass surrounding the immediate area on the ground. Officers made entry into the building with negative results for a suspect but did observe blood on the counter near the cash register and on the outside of the smashed glass door.
The owner arrived and walked through the store to survey what might have been taken. In total, he believed cigarettes and some swisher sweets were removed from the store. The estimated value of merchandise is about $250 and cost to replace the glass door $500 or less.
