Established in 1888, the Broadway Market originally served thousands of Eastern European immigrants who populated the City of Buffalo’s Eastside. Although the Market has undergone numerous changes over time, the concept of selling fresh, ethnic, and unusual food products, unique merchandise and services has remained a hallmark of the Market since its inception.
Famous for its eclectic urban atmosphere, the Broadway Market sponsors special events
throughout the year. In November, the Broadway Market will have its annual Fall Wine Festival on Friday and Saturday, November 22 & 23. Featured wineries are from the Lake Erie and Niagara Escarpment areas. Stop by to pick up your favorite wine for your Thanksgiving dinner.
Holidays at the Market begins on December 7 and continues Saturday, December 14, Saturday, December 21, and Sunday December 22. Pictures with Santa will also be available. The annual Holiday Train Show will be on Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22. Shop the market for your favorite holiday food items and gifts.
2025 events include a National Polka Month Celebration in January, Black History Month Celebration each Saturday in February. The Broadway Market’s famous Easter Festival kicks off with a Sneak Peek weekend on March 29 and March 30 and then continues April 5 through April 19, 2025, with the market’s Dyngus Day Celebration on Monday, April 21st.
