Buffalo's Elmwood Village Gears Up for Second Annual ArtFest

Buffalo's Elmwood Village is buzzing with excitement as it prepares to host the highly anticipated second annual ArtFest presented by the Elmwood Village Association (EVA). This vibrant festival aims to showcase the immense talent of local artists and craftspeople from the area.

The festivities will kick off on Saturday, August 24th, and continue through Sunday, August 25th. Art enthusiasts and community members can look forward to a weekend filled with creativity, entertainment, and culinary delights.

The festival will take place along the sidewalks of Elmwood Village with the event running from 11am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. One of the highlights of the ArtFest will be the live entertainment, featuring music, dance performances, and spoken word.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to indulge in an extreme eats competition, adding a delicious twist to the festivities. The EVA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the residents and businesses of Buffalo, is thrilled to bring back this popular event for its second year. Building upon the success of last year's inaugural festival, the EVA aims to make the ArtFest an annual tradition that continues to grow within the community.

"We were thrilled at the response to last year's new festival and look forward to growing this event every year within the community," expressed EVA Executive Director James Cichocki. "It is a great way to support local artists and performers, as well as the small businesses in the Elmwood Village. It just somehow feels like the last hurrah of summer."

The festival will feature a diverse range of artistic expressions, including visual arts, crafts, and more. Attendees can explore the 'Kid's Zone' for family-friendly activities, savor delicious food and drinks from local vendors, and immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere created by the talented artists. Throughout the festival, artists and performers will set up their displays on sidewalks, lots, and parks, adding a dynamic touch to the Elmwood Village.

"The Elmwood Village ArtFest supports local artists, musicians, performers, businesses, and the community as a whole," stated Therese Deutschlander, President of the EVA Board of Directors and small business owner. "We are so grateful for the opportunity to showcase the incredible talent in our area and add even more vibrancy to the Elmwood Village."

As summer draws to a close, the Elmwood Village ArtFest promises to be a celebration of creativity, community, and the rich artistic heritage of Buffalo. Mark your calendars and join in the festivities to support local artists and businesses while enjoying a memorable weekend in the heart of the Elmwood Village.
