Buffalo firefighter Jason Arno will be commemorated this weekend during the 38th annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial Service, hosted by the International Association of Fire Fighters at Fallen Firefighter Memorial Park. The event, which runs from Friday through Sunday, aims to honor the sacrifices of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Buffalo Fire Commissioner William Renaldo will be in attendance to pay tribute to Arno and other fallen heroes.
"Like all of our fallen firefighters, we want them remembered, we want their sacrifice to be remembered, and we don't want that to be lost. And we want the families to know that we're always there for them," Renaldo stated.
During the service, more than 300 names will be added to the Wall of Honor, ensuring that the legacies of these brave individuals are preserved for future generations. The event serves as a poignant reminder of the dedication and courage exhibited by firefighters across the nation.
