The recent engagement of Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen to actress Hailee Steinfeld has sparked a range of reactions, including one from Allen's ex-girlfriend Brittany Williams. Following the announcement, Williams made headlines for a comment that many found appalling, which she later attributed to a hacking incident.
After Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld announced their engagement on Friday, Williams deleted a comment she made in response to a user questioning whether she had found her "next athlete." She wrote, "Luckily my boyfriend owns a team and doesn't have to play for one. Don't have to be with another brain dead CTE athlete."
The comment led to swift backlash and was deleted.
Williams posted a story shortly thereafter claiming her account had been hacked.
"My accounts have been hacked several times tonight. Trying to get it resolved. If anyone has any tips please [let me know]," she wrote. However, this story was also later removed.
As of now, Williams' current boyfriend remains unknown. In a previous interview on the "Martinis and Bikinis" podcast, she discussed her split from Allen.
"I would say that coming into the dating world was very, very, very difficult for me at first, because I’m just like, I never thought I would be here again. But here I am. I am very happy now," she shared.
Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld were first linked romantically in the spring of 2023 when they were spotted dining together in New York City. The couple has since maintained a relatively private relationship.
