The Buffalo Bills reached a milestone in their Week 1 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals by setting an NFL record that may never be broken. Despite a tumultuous first quarter, the Bills rallied to secure a victory and the record.

The Cardinals dominated time of possession in the first half, seemingly able to march up and down the field at will. This put the Bills in a daunting 17-3 deficit. However, QB Josh Allen's touchdown run just before halftime narrowed the gap to 17-10.

The Bills then scored on their first possession in the second half with a touchdown pass from Allen to Mack Hollins. Another touchdown pass, this time to Khalil Shakir, and a second touchdown run from Allen solidified the Bills' comeback victory.

The win also marked a significant milestone for the team. The Bills set an NFL record that will be very difficult for any team to surpass. Buffalo has now gone 42 consecutive games without losing by more than six points. The prior record had held for decades.

To put it in perspective, the last time the Bills lost by more than six points was on November 21, 2021, when they lost 41-15 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts.

The Bills look to build on the record against the Miami Dolphins. Allen has an impressive 11-2 record against the Dolphins throughout his career. The only two losses were in Miami, one in 2018 and another in 2022.
