Becker Farms Celebrates its 130th Anniversary

Octoberfest Returns to Old Falls Street in Niagara Falls

Becker Farms celebrates 130 years of Family Fun on the Farm Tradition now through October 31. Family fun farm activities include U-Pick apples, Jumping Pillow, Country Market and Animal fun park, Garden Pavilion, Becker Mountain Mega Slide, Becker Brewing, Beer Garden, Vineyard Pavilion, Tasting Room, Farmhouse Market and Donuts. Now reaching six generations, Becker Farms is celebrating with specialty anniversary donuts, apple picking, and keepsake commemorative merchandise for purchase.

Settled in 1894 by German immigrant, Julius Becker, and his wife Augusta Dettbarn, the two acquired a 100-acre farm in Gasport, NY. The farm, which now spans 340 acres, offers both U-PICK and pre-picked fruits, vegetables, grapes, a large children’s area with farm animals, a winery, a brew house, and two event spaces for weddings and other events. The original house now functions as a store selling produce, baked goods, jams, jellies, and other items.

Visitors can experience the beautifully landscaped countryside and fresh air along with access to enjoy comfort food, drink, and socializing at the Country Market, Beer Garden, and Brew Pub. Families and children can enjoy unlimited hayrides, watch goat races, visit the playground, petting zoo, corn and rope maze, pedal carts, the giant jumping pillow, mega slide and much more.

“We are proud of our Becker Family Fall Fun on the Farm tradition,” said Oscar Vizcarra, current owner and husband to Mindy of the Becker family line, “not only has our footprint and farmofferings grown, but after 130 years we have our best crop of apples ever! What a gift for us and for the thousands of guests who visit us every year.”

Apple Picking and visits to the farm without ticketing continue Monday through Friday. For more details visit https://www.beckerfarms.com/
