Armed Robbery in Residential Neighborhood Leaves Female Fearing for Her Life

Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1600 block of Walnut Avenue around 1:30am on June 18th after reports of an armed robbery involving three masked suspects.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant who said she was robbed at gunpoint. Earlier that night she was going to hangout with friends and rode over on her bike. When she arrived to the address friends had told her to go to, her immediate thought was, "oh no, a gunman.”

There were three black males, all in black clothes, wearing ski masks with their hoods up. One of them was pointing a gun at her. The males violently pushed the complainant off her bike causing injury to her ankle.

The males then took the bike and her purse which contained two cell phones (an iPhone and Samsung Galaxy), $70 in cash, some cigarettes and her social security card.

The complainant stated she does not know who the males were or what they were after, but she was in fear for her life. However, she did mention to officers that this was seemed like a set up.

Although police urged her to get checked out by AMR or NFFD, she declined and said she would go somewhere in the morning when she was less shaken up.

There are no known suspects at this time. No further information is available.
