Aquarium of Niagara to Host Sensory-friendly Evening for Autism Acceptance Month

n recognition of Autism Acceptance Month, the Aquarium of Niagara is welcoming families impacted by autism spectrum disorder to its special AuSome Aquarium event. Scheduled for Friday, April 4th, 2025, between 6 and 8pm, the evening will feature a variety of sensory-friendly activities designed to create a supportive and engaging experience.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Aquarium’s main building in a calm environment, enjoy a sea lion presentation, interact with sensory stations, create crafts, and enjoy light snacks. The event is made possible through generous funding from the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation and is offered free of charge to attendees. The Aquarium also partners with Buffalo State University and other community organizations to enhance the experience.
