21-year-old Leads Police on a Chase Throughout Lockport, Released on Appearance Ticket

On June 29, 2024 at 0036 hours, Deputy Gilhousen observed a vehicle driving without its headlights on and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle fled through the City and Town of Lockport, before pulling into an address on Dysinger Road. Both the driver and passenger then fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, both were detained.

The driver of the vehicle, Christopher R. Boyd, 21 years- old, of the Town of Lockport was subsequently charged with several Vehicle and Traffic charges including, Reckless Driving, as well as, the Penal Law Section charging Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree.

Christopher R. Boyd was processed at The Niagara County Correctional Facility and then released on an Appearance Ticket.
