70-Year-Old Woman Struck by Gunfire Inside Her Home


A 70-year-old woman was struck by gunfire in the early hours of Thursday morning inside her home leading Buffalo police to question an individual in connection with the incident. Officials reported that the incident occurred around 4:30am in the first block of Kerns Avenue where the elderly victim was struck in the hand area while inside a residence.



Upon receiving the emergency call, police swiftly responded to the scene. The injured woman was immediately attended to by medical professionals and subsequently transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for treatment. Fortunately, her injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.


In addition to questioning an individual in relation to the incident, authorities also discovered a firearm at the scene.



The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are working to gather all necessary evidence from the scene.
