A devastating car accident on Broadway in Lancaster claimed the life of a 7-year-old boy on Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, the incident occurred around 2:50pm near the intersection of Broadway, Bowen Road, and Towne Square Drive. Reports indicate that a vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and the young boy was transported to a nearby hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Authorities identified the driver as a 29-year-old man who remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. As of Wednesday morning, no charges had been filed in connection with the incident.
