7-Eleven Employee Caught Pocketing More Than $1,300 from Register

Niagara Falls Police responded to 7-Eleven on the 2600 block of Niagara Street around 1600 hours on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, after reports of a larceny.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the manager who stated that an employee, later identified as Stephanie Dixon, was seen pulling out money from the ‘money management machine’ multiple times throughout her shift. It was later confirmed on surveillance footage that Dixon was pocketing the money she removed from the machine. She did this without permission.

The total amount of cash that was taken out of the cash management system is approx. $1,320. All cash that was stolen has since been recovered.

Police spoke with Dixon who stated that she was having a hard time at home and did not know what to do. Dixon admitted to taking the cash out of the register and said that she was “sorry.” Dixon was taken into custody, processed ad then given an appearance ticket.
