2-year-old Stabbed with Kitchen Knife during Hotel Fight; Woman Arrested


A violent altercation at the Red Roof Inn in Amherst on Tuesday night resulted in a young girl being hospitalized and two adults sustaining injuries. The incident, which involved a kitchen knife, prompted a swift response from law enforcement and first responders.


According to authorities, a 2-year-old girl was stabbed during the fight and was subsequently transported to Oishei Children's Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Meanwhile, a 32-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man also suffered injuries with the woman receiving treatment at the scene for defensive wounds. The man declined further medical attention.



Police received a call around 5:30pm reporting the disturbance at the hotel. Upon arrival, officers found evidence of a violent confrontation involving the knife. Anghely N. Llamozas-Perez, a 23-year-old resident of the hotel, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.



Llamozas-Perez was arraigned on Wednesday morning before Amherst Town Justice Kara Buscaglia and is scheduled to appear again next Tuesday for a felony hearing. She is currently being held without bail.
