Overnight, a 19-year-old woman was shot on Roetzer Street after a brawl broke out at a large block party in the area, per detectives.
The Buffalo Police responded to multiple incidents throughout the city last night, with one of the focal points being Roetzer Street. At approximately midnight, police were observed conducting investigations on Roetzer Street between Walden Avenue and Genesee Street.
A section of the street was cordoned off with police tape, and a diligent officer was seen meticulously searching the ground with a flashlight. The investigation aimed to gather evidence and shed light on the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Detectives revealed that the 19-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to her foot during the large fight. Fortunately, her injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. She was promptly transported to Sisters Hospital by car for medical treatment, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the Buffalo Police.
